At FLOW DOWN® you will find vehicle-specific magnetic plate holders suitable for Toyota, developed for the most-tuned GR models. The Toyota GR Yaris now, the GR Supra A90 Mk5 in preparation. Made in Germany, produced in our own workshop in Essen from UV-resistant ASA.
Toyota GR - performance models with their own holder
Over the past few years the Toyota Gazoo Racing line has gone from an insider name to a fixture of the tuning scene. The GR Yaris as a WRC-inspired hot hatch and the GR Supra A90 as a sports car icon both have their own front bumper geometry, with large intakes and a distinctive plate recess. A vehicle-specific holder therefore sits noticeably cleaner than a universal one.

Toyota GR Yaris - rally DNA
The GR Yaris is Toyota's WRC homage for the road: 1.6 turbo, all-wheel drive, a bodyshell of its own with a carbon roof. The front bumper is completely different from the standard Yaris - larger lower intakes, a wider bumper, its own plate position. That is exactly what our GR Yaris holder is built for: matched to the GR front so the distinctive face and its functional intakes stay visible.
How are the FLOW DOWN® holders fitted to a Toyota?
On the GR Yaris the magnets are bolted with M4 screws straight into the bumper or the tailgate, at the position of the OEM plate holder. At the front that means the bumper, at the rear the tailgate. The ASA layer behind the magnet prevents direct contact with the paint.
The ASA backing plates are bonded to the back of the plate with 3M VHB tape. After that the plate goes on in seconds - or comes off entirely for a photo shoot.
Toyota with Toyota Safety Sense - does it work?
Yes, without restriction. The FLOW DOWN® holders are designed so that neither the parking sensors nor the Toyota Safety Sense systems are affected:
- Parking sensors: they sit to the sides of the bumper, well clear of the plate area. No effect whatsoever.
- Pre-collision system camera: up by the rear-view mirror - the holder does not touch it.
- Adaptive cruise control radar: usually behind the upper grille rather than directly behind the plate - the holder sits above or beside it.
What to know before buying a Toyota holder
- Front, rear or set: choose in the variant picker. For the full look we recommend the complete set.
- GR Yaris model year: our holder is developed for the GR Yaris from 2020 - it fits the whole current generation including the updated cars.
- Standard Yaris without GR: the GR holder is not compatible, because the bumper geometry is completely different. For the standard Yaris our universal holder is the answer.
- GR Supra A90: a dedicated version is in preparation. Until then, the universal holder or a custom request via WhatsApp.
- Plate size: on every Toyota both 520 x 110 mm (standard) and 460 x 110 mm (short) fit. Special sport plates on request.
- 3D plates: no problem. The raised areas left by the embossed characters on the back are securely enclosed by our thick 3M tape. We recommend warming the plate briefly with a hair dryer after sticking it on, so the adhesive flows around the rivets and bonds fully.

Frequently asked questions about Toyota magnetic plate holders
Does the GR Yaris holder also fit the standard Yaris?
No. The GR Yaris has its own bodyshell with a completely different front bumper geometry - wider bumper, larger intakes, a different plate mounting. For the standard Yaris our universal holder is the right choice.
Do you have a holder for the Toyota GR Supra A90?
A vehicle-specific version for the GR Supra A90 Mk5 is in preparation. Until then our universal holder fits the Supra front - or contact us via WhatsApp. We can already make a custom adaptation in our workshop in Essen.
Do the holders also work with 3D number plates?
Yes. On 3D plates the embossed characters create slight raised areas on the back. Our thick 3M tape encloses them securely and still bonds across the full surface. We recommend warming the plate briefly with a hair dryer after sticking it on - the adhesive then flows around the rivets and reaches full strength.
Does the holder interfere with Toyota Safety Sense or the parking sensors?
No. The parking sensors sit to the sides of the bumper, well clear of the plate area. The pre-collision system camera is up by the rear-view mirror and is not touched. The adaptive cruise control radar sits behind the upper grille, not directly behind the plate.
Where are the magnets fixed on a Toyota?
The magnets are bolted with M4 screws directly to the bumper at the front and the tailgate at the rear, at the position of the OEM plate holder. On the GR Yaris the rear plate sits in the tailgate. Behind each magnet an ASA layer prevents direct contact with the paint.
Do you have a holder for the GR86 or other Toyota sports models?
For the GR86 we currently make holders to order. Send us a photo of your front end via WhatsApp and we will check the fit individually. For most other Toyota models (Corolla, Yaris, C-HR and so on) our universal holder fits.
Does the GR Yaris holder also fit the updated model?
Yes. Toyota revised the GR Yaris slightly from 2024, but the plate mounting in the bumper stayed the same. Our holder fits the entire GR Yaris generation from 2020.
Do I need the same holder front and rear?
Yes - on the same Toyota the plate positions front and rear match geometrically. Simply choose "front", "rear" or "complete set" in the variant picker. For a consistent look front and rear we recommend the set.
Can I fit the holder to my Toyota myself?
Yes. The first fitting takes about 10 minutes and is straightforward with the enclosed instructions. All you need is isopropanol to degrease and a hair dryer to warm the tape. If you would rather leave it to us: at our workshop in Essen we fit it properly.
