Do I still need this combination certificate if I run an aftermarket exhaust with the Ramair intake?

No, not any more. The Ramair intake's type approval has been extended and directly covers the combination with ECE exhausts from Akrapovič, Milltek, GRAIL Automotive, L-Performance, Aulitzky Exhaust and Bull-X as well as the HJS downpipe. Carrying the approval document in the car is enough; this certificate is not needed for that.

What do I still need this certificate for then?

For the combination of the Ramair intake and an additional software optimisation (ECU tuning, e.g. Stage 1 or Stage 2). That combination is not part of the type approval extension and must still be registered with the inspector via this parts certificate.

With this certificate, do I still have to go to an inspection body?

Yes - unlike the Ramair intake's own type approval, this parts certificate only enables a smooth registration; the appointment with the inspector remains necessary for the software combination.

Does the certificate cover every S58 model in the G range?

Yes, it covers the entire BMW S58 G family - BMW M2 G87, M3 G80, M3 Touring G81, M4 G82 and M4 G83, each in combination with the Ramair intake.

What is included?

You receive the parts certificate as a PDF to present to the inspector. The parts type approval for the Ramair intake itself already comes with the intake kit.

I have already bought an exhaust or downpipe from FLOW DOWN® - do I still pay the full price?

For the plain combination with an exhaust or the HJS downpipe you no longer need this certificate at all. If you are also planning a software optimisation, just get in touch - existing customers with an exhaust or downpipe from us get special terms.
