Which first - the front add-on or the side skirts?

Always the side skirts first. The front add-on is then connected to them. If the front goes on first you can only adapt the skirt to it - and the transition at the front wheel arch edge is exactly where people look first.

Do the V.1, V.2 and V.3 differ in how they are fixed?

No, only in the edge shape. Fitting position and method on the BMW 1 Series F70's standard side skirt are the same on all three.

Does the standard side skirt have to be removed?

No. The cup trim is placed onto the standard side skirt; the standard part stays on the car unchanged.
