Road-legality notes

Mechanically the kit fits all the S55 models listed above. The enclosed part type approval, however, appliesonly to cars with a petrol particulate filter, a dual-clutch gearbox and rear-wheel drive- which applies to the later S55 models. On those cars the intake can be used legally without registration; the approval documents are kept in the vehicle. The kit also fits cars with a manual gearbox or without a particulate filter, but those then need an individual inspection (§21 StVZO, German law) by an approved engineer. If you are combining it with an exhaust system, a downpipe or software tuning, it is best to clarify the right paperwork with us in advance.
