What is the difference from the 3D version?

The contour. This one runs smoothly through and stays closer to the standard look; the 3D version is stepped and stands out more. Position and fitting are identical.

Does the spoiler sit at the top or the bottom of the rear?

At the top, on the roof edge above the rear window. There are separate items for the lower tailgate edge.

Is drilling required?

No. The 3M tape is applied at the factory; it is bonded to the existing roof edge.

Why does alignment matter more on the smooth version?

Because there is no structure to visually absorb a slight tilt. We measure against the roof rail ends rather than the window seal, which has factory tolerance.
