Where exactly do the roof rails sit?

Lengthwise on the rear roof edge, left and right at the transition to the rear window. They taper towards the glass.

Can I run them together with a spoiler lip on the tailgate?

Yes. The parts sit in different places and do not touch - many people combine exactly that.

Does the set fit a car with a carbon roof too?

We prefer to check that beforehand. The contour at the roof edge can differ there. Send us a photo of the roof and we will tell you whether it seats properly.

How critical is the alignment when bonding?

More critical than with most other add-ons. On the roof there is no continuous edge as a stop, and an offset between left and right shows immediately from behind. So measure and mark out beforehand.
