Does the spoiler lip go on the tailgate or on the roof spoiler?

On the roof spoiler. The Sportage has a factory spoiler above the rear window, and this part sits on its trailing edge.

What if my Sportage has no roof spoiler?

Then the spoiler lip has no contact surface. On the GT-Line the spoiler is usually fitted - if unsure, send us a photo of the rear and we will tell you before you order.

Is drilling needed to fit it?

No. The part is bonded only; the 3M tape is applied at the factory. Nothing is modified on the spoiler or the bodywork.

Does the bond on the roof hold in the car wash?

Yes, with a clean bond. It withstands brushes and pressure washing - just do not aim directly at the bonded edge from close range.
