What is the difference between the V.1 and V.3 spoiler lips?

The visible edge. On the V.1 it is finished with a push-on rubber edge protector; on the V.3 the edge itself is folded over and the rubber lip is omitted. Maxton lists the newer version as V.2, we call it V.3. Both are suitable for the Hyundai i30 N hatchback; the rest is a matter of taste.

Does the rubber edge protector have to stay on the V.1?

Yes, leave it on. On this version the rubber edge protector is part of the type approval's conditions. On the newer spoiler lip it is no longer part of the approval, because the visible edge is folded there.

Does the V.1 spoiler lip fit the Fastback too?

No. It is cut to suit the Hyundai i30 N hatchback. On the Fastback the tailgate tapers more shallowly, and we stock separate parts for that. Drop us a line and we will tell you what fits your body style.

Does it fit the facelift from 2020?

Yes. The V.1 fits the Hyundai i30 N Mk3 hatchback from 2017 as well as the facelift from 2020 - nothing changed at this part of the tailgate with the facelift.

Do I have to drill anything for the fitting?

No, the spoiler lip is only bonded. The double-sided 3M tape is pre-fitted and the degreasing wipe is included. If you do not want to do it yourself, we fit it at our workshop in Essen.
