Does the original diffuser have to come out for it?

Yes. The rear add-on is a replacement part and replaces the standard insert rather than being bonded over it. Fitting is therefore more involved than with a cover - we remove the rear bumper for it.

Does the rear add-on fit the RS3 8V facelift from 2017 too?

No. The rear apron was changed with the facelift. Separate versions exist for the facelift - just tell us your model year and we will link the right part for you.

And on the RS3 saloon?

The 8V saloon only arrived with the facelift, and this part does not fit it. It is made exclusively for the Sportback up to model year 2016.

Do my standard tailpipes still fit through?

Yes, the cut-outs are designed for the RS3 8V's standard layout with the two oval tailpipes. If you run an aftermarket exhaust with a different tailpipe shape, send us a photo of the rear first.
