Do I really have to cut the original diffuser?

Yes. The ends of the standard add-on have to be shortened, otherwise the part will not lie against the apron. The cut is then hidden by the new add-on but cannot be undone on the standard part.

What do I do if the car is leased?

Get a used standard add-on before the conversion and put it aside. When reverting you refit the undamaged add-on and do not have to buy a new part.

Does the add-on fit the RS3 8V Sportback too?

No. The Sportback and saloon have different rear aprons. Separate versions for the Sportback are available in the shop.

Was the RS3 saloon available as a pre-facelift too?

No, the saloon only arrived in 2017 with the facelift. That is why there is no pre-facelift variant of this part.

Do the standard tailpipes stay in position?

Yes, the cut-outs are matched to the RS3 saloon's standard layout. With a retrofitted exhaust, please send us a photo of the rear beforehand.
