This front splitter is tailored to the reworked front end of the 1 Series that BMW fitted from late 2015. It attaches to the lower edge of the standard sports bumper and extends it forwards and downwards. Version: ABS plastic, gloss black, ready-coated.

Facelift or not - check before ordering

With the facelift the F20 received a new front bumper and different headlights. Front parts therefore do not fit across both generations. The quickest check: headlights that flow smoothly towards the kidney grille belong to the facelift front end - more angular, clearly separated units to the earlier one. If yours is the older car, you will find the front splitter suitable for the BMW 1 Series F20 / F21 pre-facelift. When in doubt, send us a photo and we will work it out.

Fits three-door and five-door cars

The F20 is the five-door and the F21 the three-door - the front bumper is the same on both. What matters is not the number of doors but whether the sports bumper is fitted.

Is my 1 Series a facelift or not?

Look at the headlights. If they run smoothly into the kidney grille you have the facelift front and thus the right lip. If they are more angular and clearly separated, you need the version for the earlier front. The change came in late 2015.

Does it matter whether I drive a three-door or a five-door?

No. The F20 is the five-door, the F21 the three-door, and the front apron is the same on both. All that matters is that the sports apron is fitted.

My F20 has already been repaired at the front. Will the lip still fit?

As a rule yes, but tell us before the appointment. After a repair the apron rarely sits exactly as from the factory - we compensate for that during the dry fit before marking out.
