Carbon front air intake inserts suitable for BMW M3 G80, BMW M3 G81, BMW M4 G82 and BMW M4 G83. The carbon inserts replace the factory plastic trims in the front air intakes of the bumper and create a clear carbon accent at the front. Made from dry carbon prepreg in an autoclave, fitting precisely on the factory mounting points.

Road legality - material certificate, part type approval in preparation

A material certificate is currently available for this part. Individual approval under §21 StVZO (German law) by an inspection body (TÜV, GTÜ or DEKRA) is required before the vehicle may be driven on public roads. A part type approval is being prepared at the KBA (German federal motor transport authority) - once it is in place no registration is needed and the approval can be applied for retrospectively.

Material

Dry carbon prepreg, cured in an autoclave under pressure and heat. High strength, low weight, flawless visible finish. The standard is classic 3K carbon with high-gloss UV lacquer - UV-stable and non-yellowing.

Forged carbon available on request

Available on request in a forged carbon finish. Surcharge from +25 %, made to order. Please contact FLOW DOWN® support before ordering.

Mesh available as an option

The air intake inserts are available on request with a black mesh - surcharge 70 €. For anyone who wants a closed-off race look behind the carbon insert.

For years FLOW DOWN® has been a go-to address in the Ruhr region for fitting body kits and carbon parts. Our own workshop in Essen, no third-party subcontracting. You can book body kit fitting directly as a service in the shop - and on request we also present the car at the inspection body for the individual approval under §21.

As soon as the part type approval has been granted by the KBA (German federal motor transport authority) you can apply for it retrospectively - from then on no registration is needed. We actively inform buyers as soon as the approval is available.
