Carbon kidney grille FD Streetline in the open-bottom version, suitable for BMW M3 G80, BMW M3 G81, BMW M4 G82 and BMW M4 G83. With a carbon cross-brace at the top and none at the bottom - the large kidney openings stay open at the bottom and make the grille look larger. Made from dry carbon prepreg in an autoclave, a factory replacement that is easy to fit.

Road legality - material certificate, part type approval in preparation

A material certificate is currently available for this carbon kidney grille. Individual approval under §21 StVZO (German law) by an inspection body (TÜV, GTÜ or DEKRA) is required before the vehicle may be driven on public roads. A part type approval is being prepared at the KBA (German federal motor transport authority).

Material

Dry carbon prepreg, autoclave-cured. The standard is classic 3K carbon with high-gloss UV lacquer - UV-stable and non-yellowing.

Fitting - easy factory replacement from behind

Like the original grille, this carbon grille is inserted into the bumper from behind. Unlike the closed FD Streetline version, fitting is easier here - the bumper does not have to be removed completely. With a little practical skill it is easy to do yourself. Even so, we recommend having it fitted properly at FLOW DOWN® in Essen.

Front number plate - neatly mounted with the hook-and-loop holder

With a carbon kidney grille we recommend the FLOW DOWN® hook-and-loop number plate holder. No drilling into the carbon grille, no magnet on the carbon surface - the plate is held by hook-and-loop tape and can be removed whenever you need.
