Carbon kidney grille FD Performance suitable for BMW M3 G80, BMW M3 G81, BMW M4 G82 and BMW M4 G83. A design of its own, with a distinctive X-shaped lattice - not a one-to-one copy of a factory design but a separate design language with clear recognition value. Made from dry carbon prepreg in an autoclave, fitted from the outside over the factory kidney grilles.

Road legality - material certificate, part type approval in preparation

A material certificate is currently available for this carbon kidney grille. Individual approval under §21 StVZO (German law) by an inspection body (TÜV, GTÜ or DEKRA) is required before the vehicle may be driven on public roads. A part type approval is being prepared at the KBA (German federal motor transport authority).

Material

Dry carbon prepreg, cured in an autoclave under pressure and heat. The standard is classic 3K carbon with high-gloss UV lacquer - UV-stable and non-yellowing.

Fitting - overlay from the outside

Unlike a factory replacement grille, the X-design element is fitted from the outside over the factory kidney grilles. The original grille stays completely in place and the carbon X sits visibly on top. The advantage: reversible fitting without removing the bumper.

Front number plate - neatly mounted with the hook-and-loop holder

With a carbon kidney grille we recommend the FLOW DOWN® hook-and-loop number plate holder. No drilling into the carbon grille, no magnet on the carbon surface - the plate is held by hook-and-loop tape and can be removed whenever you need.
