The corner pieces sit at the sides of the front bumper and complement the look of a carbon front splitter, or work equally well on their own. Made from dry carbon prepreg in an autoclave, fitting precisely on the factory mounting points. With part type approval, no registration is required in Germany.

The part type approval is issued for your vehicle identification number (VIN). You enter the VIN when ordering, we record it in our system and enclose the approval document with the delivery. Without a VIN the document cannot be issued.

What is a front add-on corner and what does it do visually on the M3 G80 or M4 G82?

The corner pieces sit at the sides of the front bumper and set a clear accent at the lower outer edges of the front. They work as a complement to a carbon front lip or on their own - either way the result is a considerably sportier look than the standard plastic front bumper.

Can the carbon corner pieces with a type approval really be used without an inspection?

Yes. The parts type approval makes the front add-on exempt from registration in Germany. You need neither a §21 StVZO individual inspection nor an entry at the registration office. You receive the approval document with the delivery - issued for your vehicle identification number.

Why does my chassis number have to go in the order form?

The type approval is not generic but issued personalised to your VIN. We register it in our system and enclose the matching document with the delivery. No VIN, no approval document - and therefore no registration-free use.

Can the corner pieces be combined with the carbon front lip?

Yes, the corner pieces are made exactly for that: creating a coherent front setup together with a carbon front lip. You can also fit them without a front lip if you only want accents at the outer edges.

Can I fit the corner pieces myself or is a workshop better?

The corner pieces attach via the factory fixing points. With practical skill and experience you can do it yourself. For a clean end result and a precise fit we recommend fitting at FLOW DOWN® in Essen - our own workshop, no referrals. The body kit fitting can be booked on directly.

Are the corner pieces real dry carbon or just carbon film?

Real dry carbon pre-preg, made in the autoclave. That is the highest-quality carbon variant - not to be confused with carbon film or wet carbon. Standard is 3K classic carbon with a high-gloss UV lacquer; forged carbon is available at extra cost.
